Welcome to SVMIC's OSHA Safety Officer Training. This training is intended for designated Safety Officers within the medical practice. It is broken into 6 modules that follow the format of the SVMIC OSHA Compliance Manual. We recommend Safety Officers complete Module 1 through 5 as they are applicable to most standard medical practices. Completing Module 6 - Radiation, MRI, and Laser Safety is dependent on the needs of your practice.

As you begin to develop your practice’s Safety Program, it is important to remember it must be customized to your practice’s unique needs and site-specific information. The SVMIC OSHA Compliance Manual’s policies and procedures are designed to serve as a template for what the practice should be doing to protect its workers from the hazards they encounter while on the job.
