This session purposely does not include covering the requirements for OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard as that is covered in a different session here. Employees at risk (due to job tasks) of exposure to bloodborne pathogens are required to be trained (must meet the 14 training elements of OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard) prior to risk of exposure and at least annually thereafter.
This self-study session is for medical practice employees (including providers) that need a general overview of safety in a typical medical practice.

- Required posters
- Emergency action plans including:
- Fire safety and workplace violence (including active shooter & bomb threats)
- Ergonomics
- Radiation safety
- Contagions (other than bloodborne pathogens)
- Handling chemicals
- Reporting safety concerns
