Course Description

Healthcare professionals are under a constant risk of occupational stress and burnout. The pandemic served to escalate this risk. This session is an introduction to the professional health and wellness spectrum and will focus on valuable techniques that foster and support personal health and wellness while helping to avoid, prevent and manage stress in the workplace and at home. Participants will engage in reflective practices and activities that develop skills for improving wellness and inter-personal relationships. This session will provide the tools necessary to aid in moving from simply surviving to thriving during the pandemic and after. 

Learning Objectives
  1. List and describe the four zones of the professional health and wellness spectrum
  2. Recognize methods to reduce and manage stress and burnout
  3. Compare four strategies for promoting resilience
  4. Develop wellness goals using the B-A-SMART-ER model

Continuing Education for Non-Physicians:  Non-physicians can obtain continuing education credits for attending activities that award AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ to physicians. Check with your licensure/certification board for confirmation. A Certificate of Participation will be sent to all non-physicians.
