6111: Radiology - Focusing on the Risks
Course Description
This course examines some common risk issues in diagnostic radiology and strategies to reduce those risks. Many such strategies are within the control of the radiologist such as improved communication and documentation. Implementing these strategies will not only reduce risk but improve patient safety.

- Examine some of the primary areas of malpractice risk in radiology
- Identify practical ways to reduce the likelihood of a malpractice claim or lawsuit
- Describe the importance of effective communication and timely, accurate documentation

CME Information
Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine (UTCOM) and State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company. The UTCOM is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
